I signed up for the private beta a month or so ago and finally got my invite today and I love what I see.

There aren’t too many movies, Breakfast Club, Conan The Barbarian, Sideways to name a few, but they have a lot of TV shows, mostly from NBC. But they do have WKRP In Cincinnati.

I just want to test their embedded video option, like what you’ve seen from me with YouTube, with one of my favorite SNL skits from the last few years: Business Meeting With Rainn Wilson – I LOVE absurdity. Enjoy!

Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny hits theaters November 22nd and I can’t wait. I’ve been a big fan of the D since their days on HBO. Their album was OK but it’s their bootlegs that are hysterical. The best one I’ve listened to (a few hundred times) is them live at the Largo Pub January 21, 1999. Just amazing. (Un)Fortunately, it is not for the little ones.

They have a website up for the movie now and you really should sit through the first couple of minutes where they intro the website – more comedy genius.

As advertised, it shows the accountants (Angela, Kevin and Oscar) discovering that money is missing from the company account and they are going to find it.

Not sure what’s funnier though, the webisodes or the FedEx/Kinkos commercial that plays before each episode. That’s more like my workplace for sure…

Jack is 18 months right now and we had a name for him 6 months before he was even born!

It’s interesting to note that since the kid doesn’t have a legal name yet, it also has no birth certificate or social security number and therefore cannot be declared as a tax deduction (ouch!). Wonder what they do for health care?

Anyone who follows the show closely knows that he has never had a name, he’s just "Comic Book Guy" and I know and work with people just like him.

Well, I just happened to stumble across this article on tvguide.com that tells me it wasn’t a dream and he does have a name now: Jeff Albertson. Which apparently has no significance, they just wanted to be sly and slip in an unassuming name in the dialog as if no one would notice.

Not a huge deal I suppose but if nothing else, it’s another of life’s mysteries. solved.
